Site Reliability Engineer (DevOps)

Site Reliability Engineer role uses the skill set of a software engineer and applies those principals to operating a highly available and scalable communication application in a real-world production environment.
You will work across development, quality assurance and operations to drive improvements in process, automation and application changes to achieve high reliable system.
Responsibilities: Deploy and maintain monitoring and alerting systems Analyze usage and utilization trends to make appropriate design and implementation recommendations Identify and troubleshoot performance and stability issues; assist engineering team in troubleshooting of production issues Apply principles of chaos engineering to DEV/QA/Prod deployments, to identify points of potential failure Analyze the error streams from various sources Define service level objectives (SLOs) and service level indicators (SLIs) Actively participate in Postmortem / RCA for incidents Operate, maintain, and improve QA, staging and production application infrastructure Work with Development to influence design, development and deployment for reliability and scalability Required Skills: 2 years of experience at SRE, DevOps or Software Engineer position.
Experience with public (aws/azure) and private (VMware/SAN) cloud technologies, multi-tenant cloud infrastructure, storage systems, and content delivery networks Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, Chef, Jenkins Good understanding of open source server software such as NGINX, RabbitMQ, Elasticsearch Good understanding of Linux OS (networking, file systems, system tools) Scripting skills: Bash, Perl, Python, etc.
Experience with version control and bug tracking systems (Git, Jira) Ability to work across teams and across disciplines (Development, QA, Sysadmins, Network engineers and etc.)
Good written and spoken English language, Ablity to communicate complex ideas in English and Russian Desired Skills: Knowledge of VoIP systems and technologies Knowledge of SQL (MySQL) and NoSQL (mongo, couchbase, Cassandra) Conditions: Saint-Petersburg office, the technology capital of the company, was founded in 2000 and is located close to the "Alexandra Nevskogo Square" metro station.
